The Sheila Stanley Community Counseling Fund (SSCCF) began in memoriam with the passing of a Womankind Counseling Center clinical psychologist who lost her battle with cancer.

The SSCCF provides a one-time grant to help cover the costs of individual or group psychotherapy for people without insurance coverage or for people without mental healthcare benefits as part of their healthcare policy. The fund aims to be simple to access and help cover the gaps and inequities which exist for people trying to access mental healthcare. The SSCCF is open to New Hampshire residents who use a psychotherapy provider who has been accepted by the SSCCF.

Since its inception in 2001, the SSCCF has never had to turn away an applicant due to lack of funds. Need has been increasing as the health insurance Marketplace costs have sky rocketed, thousands have lost Medicaid benefits, and corporations are taking over mental health centers while increasing costs to clients. Everyone deserves access to quality mental healthcare and many do not. The SSCCF is one of the ways that Womankind works to help support a healthy community for all of us.Your donations to the SSCCF go directly to helping people access care- Help us never have to turn away an applicant!
